What is The Beauty Experience?
The Beauty Experience, The New International Beauty Show, is the leading show for the professional beauty industry and is not open to the general public. The show's main objective is to educate, in effect opening new doors for beauty professionals.
Who can attend The Beauty Experience?
The Beauty Experience is only open to licensed beauty professionals. All attendees will be asked to present a photo ID along with one of the following credentials:
- Cosmetology License
- Salon/Spa Business License
- Business card
- Letter from owner of salon or spa
- W-2 Form
- Invoice from professional beauty product distributor
- Student I.D. from Cosmetology School or state license
- Other appropriate license(s) denoting one as a member in the professional beauty industry
- Students attending a certified beauty school can also attend, with proper identification
- No one under the age of 15 is allowed on the show floor or in classrooms, including infants in strollers.

How do I get to the Jacob Javits Convention Center?
Take the following MTA subway trains to 34th Street: A,C,E, 1, 2, 3, 9, B, D, F, N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6, 7
Also, The Beauty Experience offers a convenient shuttle bus from major New York City transportation hubs to the Javits Center during show hours. For other options, including driving directions, please click here.
Is there accreditation for the classes offered?
No official credit is given for classes held during The Beauty Experience. However, upon request, the show can issue you a certificate of completion which you may appeal to your board for accreditation. Certificates are available at the Show Office at the Convention Center.
What should I do if I lose my ticket?
Any attendee who loses their ticket will have to purchase another ticket to gain entrance to the show.

What are the show dates?
The Beauty Experience takes place March 8-10, 2020 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City-655 West 34th Street, at 11th Avenue.
How can I make travel arrangements to attend the show?
Visit the travel page for more information on hotel and travel arrangements. The majority of the hotels are located within a one mile radius of the Javits Center, requiring anywhere from a 5-15 minute walk.
What classes are offered at The Beauty Experience?
100+ free classes with a ticket covering industry topics: nail, hair, makeup, product focused and business classes, taught by well-known, industry professionals and presentations by renowned artists featuring hair techniques & trends and BarberShop, featuring men's grooming and barbering techniques.
What types of companies exhibit at the show?
All companies exhibiting at The Beauty Experience either sell or distribute products related to the beauty industry. The show offers exhibitors from top beauty brands!

Do PBA & NCA members get a discount?
Yes, we provide discounts for members of PBA & NCA. Simply enter your email associated with your PBA membership when you register.
Is there a bag/coat check available?
Yes, there will be bag and coat check available to all attendees, located on the first floor of the Javits Center. Please also leave your roller-bags at the bag check, as they are not permitted on the Show Floor. If you have a medical condition which requires you to use a roller bag, please bring an official medical note with you and bring the note to the Information Booth (located in the Crystal Palace) for validation.
